Rebecca Bader
I was honored to be invited to join the Black Hills Children’s Museum and am excited to support its vision of creating meaningful learning experiences for our community. The museum’s mission closely aligns with my passion for educational outreach and hands-on learning.
Growing up in Wisconsin, I helped create agriculture-focused educational exhibits at local fairs, including a monarch butterfly exhibit that taught children about pollinators and migration. After moving to South Dakota to attend South Dakota State University, I helped develop the first Soil Health exhibit at the South Dakota State Fair, introducing kids to the importance of soil microbes and sustainable agriculture. I believe engaging exhibits can spark curiosity, inspire lifelong learning, and help children discover their passions.
Rebecca currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the City of Box Elder. She previously worked as a Marketing Director in the livestock research industry and spent time as the Events and Trade Show Coordinator for the Central States Fair and Black Hills Stock Show. Her professional background combines communications, event management, and educational outreach, all centered on connecting communities through meaningful experiences and engaging storytelling.
