BUILDING A COMMUNITY OF CURIOSITY

A campaign to fund the building of the Black Hills Children’s Museum

HELP US BUILD A PLACE WHERE JOY MEETS DISCOVERY

The museum is a community-powered project between the City of Box Elder and the Black Hills Children’s Museum, and together we’re building something special - a regional resource, a tourism attraction, and a unique destination for joyful learning and connection right here in the Black Hills.

WHY IT MATTERS

Research shows that play-based learning is one of the most powerful tools for building healthy, creative, and resilient minds. Children’s museums are proven catalysts for this kind of growth.
Yet in the Black Hills region, there’s no dedicated destination that combines education, imagination, and connection in this way. That’s the gap this museum will fill.

THE MUSEUM WILL SERVE AS:

A REGIONAL RESOURCE
Supporting schools, families, and educators

A TOURISM DESTINATION
Drawing visitors from across the Midwest and beyond

A COMMUNITY ANCHOR
Strengthening local pride, creativity, and connection

HELP US BRING THE MUSEUM TO LIFE

WHAT YOUR GIFT SUPPORTS

When you give, you’re not just funding a building,  you’re investing in the next generation. You’re fueling the creation of a vibrant community destination that sparks curiosity, supports parents, inspires kids, and strengthens the region for years to come.

Every gift, big or small, gets us one step closer to opening our doors.  Your gift can change how a child sees the world, and their place in it.

INVESTING IN COMMUNITY

This museum will be more than a building, it will be a hub of creativity and community for families all across the region. When you donate to the campaign, you invest in:

“As Mayor of Box Elder, I am proud to support the Black Hills Children’s Museum and the positive impact it will have on our growing community. The museum will draw new families into our community, support local businesses, and contribute to the continued economic growth we are proud to see in our city. I encourage our residents, businesses, and partners to join us in supporting a project that will benefit families and our community for years to come.”
