AMANDA ESTRADA

I joined the Black Hills Children’s Museum board because I strongly believe in the importance of creating enriching, playful, and accessible spaces for children and families in our community. As a mother of two, I’ve seen firsthand the impact that interactive learning environments can have, and I’m honored to support a mission that aligns so closely with my values.

I earned my degree in Sports Management from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. During my time there, I interned with the Minnesota Vikings as they transitioned from the Metrodome to what is now U.S. Bank Stadium. That internship turned into a full-time role as a Premium Seating Coordinator. After several years in the professional sports industry, I decided to pursue a change of pace and relocated to South Dakota with my now husband.

Since moving to Rapid City, I’ve held positions with Main Street Square and Liv Hospitality, eventually serving as the Event Director for the Box Elder Event Center during its inaugural year. While I greatly enjoyed the energy and creativity of the event and hospitality industry, I ultimately chose to step away to focus on my growing family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, dedicating much of my time to supporting our family’s needs.

I’ve been a member of the board since October 2024 and truly enjoy collaborating with others who are passionate about early childhood development. In my spare time, I enjoy baking sourdough bread, gardening, and staying active through Pilates and outdoor adventures with my kids.
